DANCERS

During my recent exciting experiments and developments in watercolour, a gradual longing to experiment further with expressing movement. This time, I wanted to experiment, further, with movement, employing a purer, more abstract expression, straight from the imagination.

Earlier, I had experimented with the expression of utter stillness and silence with the Glass Vessels series. This time my desire was to broaden this more mysterious and abstract expression by experimenting with movement, through the medium of Dance. Having recently worked with the masters of movement, with the Big Cats, and particularly with the fastest and most graceful Cat of all, the Cheetah, I felt I might try to bring many things together to express the spirituality and poetry of human movement and emotion in Dance.
